MILWAUKEE- The Milwaukee Rufus King girls basketball team are in Chicago, IL this Saturday for a two- day tournament; The Martin Luther King Classic at Whitney Young High School.
The Generals (4-0, 6-2) match-up against two different teams.
“Were going to do what we do best,” said head coach Craig Machut who felt this is another chance for the Lady Generals to try to win another game on defense.
“A lot of the time we seem to underestimate the other team, ” sophomore Avyanna Young said.
Machut said the team will have to stay focused because “sometimes the girls move too fast on a certain play and find it hard to get back on good defense”.
“Were not going to let anything shake us, ” Young said. She and her team are confident and ready to take on the Chicago tournament.
Notes: The Girls will be leaving from Milwaukee to Chicago, Saturday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. The tournament takes place with games Sunday night and Monday.
