MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee King pulled another victory Wednesday, defeating Milwaukee Madison 79-53.

Both the Generals (5-0, 8-3) and Knights (0-6, 2-10) played hard with scouts in attendance.

Knights coach Ray Perine thought the boys played strong in the first half of the game.

“They put in a good effort; they held it together,” Perine said.

Acquallo Moore and Lamar Morris led the Knights with 12 points each; Moore also scored the only three point shot by the Knights.

In the future, Perine hopes the team improves its rebounding and learns to handle the ball better.

Generals coach James Gosz agreed that the pressure got to Milwaukee Madison.

“In City Conference, the main objective is to get out with a win. We did what we had to do,” Gosz said.

Gosz applauded senior Courtlin Scott-Johnson’s shooting, calling it a strong point of the game.

“We’re getting better at recognizing who has the hot hand and the strengths for the game,” Gosz said.

Senior Silas Mills led the Generals with 24 points, followed by Quintrell Rowe with 15 points. Scott-Johnson made the only two 3-point shots for Milwaukee King.

However, the Generals do have improvements to make, according to Gosz. Things to work on include being able to value the ball, and making it harder for the other team to turn the ball over.

“We can’t play sloppy in March, and we want to prepare for March in January,” Gosz said.

Milwaukee King plays Milwaukee Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 29 at Riverside.

Milwaukee Madison takes on Milwaukee Bay View at Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 29.
